American Airlines Boeing 787 land at Cold Bay Alaska

An American Airlines Boeing 787 from Shanghai flying to Chicago had to divert to Cold Bay Alaska after experiencing some engine issues as the Airline stated. All the preparations went well on both airplane and on the ground but the major issue was yet to come.

Cold Bay is a considerably isolated and small community but has a huge runway built during the Second World War to the Aleutians battle and has more than 10,000ft witch it makes it perfect for an enroute alternating field.
